This puzzle began with a quiet admiration for four individual works by Paul Cézanne - each devoted to a different season, yet together forming something more complete.

Each panel carries its own atmosphere and energy, and yet they speak to one another in subtle ways. I was drawn to the idea of bringing them together into a single composition - a unified reflection on the rhythm of change.

What makes this piece especially meaningful is something less obvious. Behind the seasonal panels, I layered Cézanne’s Avenue of Chestnut Trees at the Jas de Bouffan as a quiet foundation. It’s a subtle inclusion, adding depth and texture that binds the composition together.

This collection reflects the steady passage of time - the way color shifts, light changes, and seasons move forward, each distinct yet inseparable from the whole.
