This puzzle is a tribute not only to an artist, but to the person who introduced me to his work.
My oldest son is the reason I came to know and love Odilon Redon. His admiration runs so deep that one of Redon’s ethereal works now lives on his arm - a permanent reminder of the connection he feels to the artist’s dreamlike world.
Over the years, visiting our local art museum together on his birthday has become one of our most cherished traditions. This past year, we experienced an unexpected moment of magic: Geraniums, a painting we knew the museum owned but had never seen displayed, was finally brought into the light.
Watching my son stand before it was as meaningful as seeing it myself. The vivid red blooms instantly reminded me of my grandmother’s garden, lined each summer with those same flowers. In that moment, surrounded by art and family, time felt suspended.
This collection reflects that feeling: art as connection, memory, and something quietly enduring.
