The story behind the puzzle from Aether's founder, Carrie-Ann:
I didn’t grow up immersed in art history. My love for art came later—quietly, and somewhat unexpectedly—through the eyes of my children. As part of their classical education, they began studying the great works of Western art, and it was through their curiosity that my own began to grow.
I started slowly, visiting our local art museum, unsure of what to look for but drawn in by color and texture. Then, during my husband’s work travels, I began visiting larger museums in cities across the country—stealing a few quiet hours in front of the masters.
Monet was one of the first artists whose work truly moved me. His brushwork, his light, the way he turned fleeting moments in nature into something timeless—it made sense to me, even as a novice. His paintings feel accessible and emotional, even to someone just beginning their appreciation of fine art.
This puzzle was created as a tribute—not just to Monet himself, but to the quiet joy of discovering beauty in something new. My hope is that, for those unfamiliar with art, this puzzle might serve as a gentle entry point—a way to begin a journey like mine.
