About the Design:

Cats have appeared in art for centuries as companions, curiosities, symbols, and simply irresistible subjects to observe. The Art of the Cat brings together paintings and drawings that show them sleeping, playing, posing, exploring, and sharing spaces with people. Different artists and styles reveal how the familiar house cat has inspired everything from careful portraiture to affectionate scenes of everyday life.
